Currently, 93% of heart attacks are misdiagnosed at the point of care because critical biomarkers take too long to get detected. We have developed a novel blood-plasma separation technique that can reduce the time for detecting these biomarkers from upwards of 30 minutes to less than 5 minutes for just a dollar. This substantial time reduction, while maintaining clinical accuracy, allows doctors, for the first time, to do a complete diagnosis and then the necessary intervention based on the biomarker results. Our company's technology could also be a platform for faster and more accurate infectious disease testing, newborn testing, oncology care, and emerging markets.
